Not really, but some projects take a while for me to figure out measurable outcome statements. Here is a quick template you help you get to a solid outcome statement that helps you know what you are supposed to measure and by when.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #666666; font-size: x-large;\">Of the <u>20 students <\/u><strong>[base]<\/strong> who are sent to detention for fighting, <u>60% of them (12 students)<\/u> <strong>[outcome measure]<\/strong> will learn a <u>minimum of 3<\/u> <strong>[outcome measure]<\/strong> anger management strategies from pre-test to post-test <strong>[time of measurement]<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>I love this template because it helps me to clearly state the base, outcome measure, and the time of measurement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It is so important to remember that outcome measurements must be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u><b>Relevant<\/b><\/u> &#8211; if you have a tutoring program, you do not want to measure rates of employment<\/li>\n<li><u><b>Within your control<\/b><\/u> \u2013 make sure you account for uncontrollable environmental factors<\/li>\n<li><u><b>Realistic<\/b><\/u> (\u201cdo-able with a stretch\u201d) \u2013 RARELY EVER does 100% apply to anything in real life<\/li>\n<li><u><b>Based on practice or research<\/b><\/u> (it should never be just a shot in the dark) \u2013 past or current program either inside or outside of your organization, a review of the literature, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.2.2&#8243;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.2.2&#8243;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.2.2&#8243;][\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Outcomes are the bain of my existence!
